Your Privacy Choices

Last updated August 21, 2026

The starting point

Tax Days is designed so there is very little to opt out of. Your trips, day counts, and location readings live on your iPhone. Parraruns no account system, no advertising, no third-party trackers, and no server that stores your travel history. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or by similar laws elsewhere, so there is no “Do Not Sell or Share” toggle to press. The choices below cover everything the app can collect or sync, and how to exercise each one. The full details are in our Privacy Policy.

Choices you control on your device

  • Location.Automatic day tracking is optional and off until you grant location permission. Allow, restrict, or revoke it at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Tax Days. The app remains fully usable with manual trip logging and no location access. Recorded readings can be reviewed and exported in the app under Settings → Location Data.
  • Notifications.Threshold alerts are optional. Manage or disable them in the app under Settings → Notification Preferences, or system-wide in iOS Settings → Notifications.
  • iCloud sync.Syncing is a Pro feature that stores your data in your private CloudKit container, which we cannot read. Turn iCloud Drive for Tax Days off in iOS Settings → your Apple Account → iCloud to keep everything on-device only.
  • Crash and usage diagnostics. We receive anonymised crash reports only if you opted in to sharing analytics with developers at the Apple system level. Review that choice in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

Deleting your data

Because your data lives on your device, deletion is in your hands and takes effect immediately. Delete individual trips, jurisdictions, or location readings inside the app, or delete the app itself to remove the local database. If iCloud sync was enabled, deleting data in the app removes it from your private CloudKit container as well. There is no server-side copy for us to delete, and no account to close.

Rights requests

Laws like the CCPA and the GDPR give you rights to access, correct, delete, and port your personal information. For the data described above, the app itself is the fastest way to exercise them: everything is visible in the app and exportable as a PDF or CSV under Settings → Tax Summary. If you believe we hold any personal information beyond that, or you want help with any request, email support@parra.io and we will respond within the timelines your local law requires. We will never discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

This website

This marketing site sets no advertising cookies and runs no third-party trackers, so there is no cookie banner to configure and no browser-level opt-out required. Aggregate, non-identifying traffic statistics are the only measurement we use.
